About
Alzo is a Scottish ambient and electronic musician crafting immersive, cinematic soundscapes that blur the lines between memory, imagination, and outer space.
Based on the east coast of Scotland, Alzo has been creating music for most of his life — first as a guitarist in bands since the mid-90s, and now as a solo producer blending guitars, synths, and orchestral textures into expansive instrumental journeys. His music draws on a rich palette of influences, including M83, The Midnight, Ólafur Arnalds, Glassjaw, Jimmy Eat World, and Björk, alongside a lifelong fascination with sci-fi and video game worlds like Elite Dangerous.

Working from his home studio, Alzo produces everything himself using a hybrid setup that includes Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Bitwig, Maschine, Elektron gear, and a deep collection of sounds from Spitfire Audio, Arturia, Omnisphere, and Native Instruments. His creative process is hands-on and exploratory — full of layering, sampling, shaping, and experimenting with sound to evoke place, emotion, and atmosphere.
He’s released two full-length albums — Explorers and Discoveries — with a third currently in production. In 2025, he performed live for the first time at PITCON with a set themed around Elite Dangerous, combining guitars, synths, ambient textures, and in-game samples in a powerful solo performance.
Alzo is currently developing more live shows (including performances in Scotland), working on new collaborations, and planning a behind-the-scenes livestream series where fans can watch music being made in real time. He also has ambitions to expand into scoring for games, film, and other visual projects — bringing his atmospheric, storytelling-driven sound to new spaces.
