This week has been inspired by the #Creativity360 event that Adobe have been hosting on their Twitch account twitch.com/adobe. I had started this design to also be part of a community driven illustration. It was an idea that grew itself into something I didn't expect.

Once the cirlces were drawn I started to add some colours to the circles randomly picking out 4 colours and it turns out I had exactly 20 circles and ended by accident having an even number of colours distributed (my hand was doing the driving but I was not really awake for this part.)

I started to go crazy with some filters on the circles and then I added text to the image. I tried various blend modes but it just wasn't sticking.

Next step I tried seperating the text out to see if I actually liked the text and the colours I was using. I tried some different approaches too but I still wasn't happy.

Up until this point I had been using Adobe Illustrator which I am trying to learn but I am way more comfortable in Adobe Photoshop. I exported my background into photoshop using Creative Cloud Library and began to work on it there. The just off black text with the white spacing now sat well with me. I added some texture and rotated the background to give it a more interesting shape.
I much prefer this version out of the many itterations

What I am learning (besides Adobe Illustrator) is that I don't really have a workflow at the moment so some stuff is happening by accident. Now that isn't a bad thing and I am enjoying playing but I hope I can improve on this in the future.
